Winter 2014 Shows

 Hi there, everyone!
I am so excited to start posting and updating the blog again! We have been so busy with the shows and shipping out goods during the past months, but now, we are making sure to give you our full attention!

The shows were amazing for us and we were so happy to see and meet everyone. Now that everything has settled down, I wanted to give all of you a recap of each of the shows we attended!

Atlanta
Here is our lovely wall of shams that we were so proud of.
It really showcased the many options and colors we have to offer!

This is one of the beds at the show that features our new Jackson striped collection.

Here is a shelf filled with our new Antwerp coverlets!
These bold colors will definitely brighten up any bed.

Our new Butler and Heritage dishware!
Don't you just love the little espresso cups and saucers?!

One of our popular new additions are the scarves!
They are so soft and just perfect for any season!

This bed features our Charlie duvet in grey stone color, which is one of the 7 staple colors we just introduced this season. Also, our pure white Vintage Crochet Collection is shown here; pillowcases, flat sheet, bed skirt and large boudoir are new. The Brussels coverlet in pure white was also a big hit!

Here is our Allegra duvet in our new sea foam color!
Don't you just love having tons of pillows on your bed?

The new Annabelle has a lovely lace detail and comes in cream or flax.
This collection dresses up any bedroom and gives it that romantic flare!

Our Charlie duvet in ocean mixed with flax shams creates an elegant and relaxed look which I love!

A shelf full of Pom Pom at Home decor, tabletop linens and dishware!

I love the muted and cool tones on this bed!

All of our crib items together!
Any of these would create the most beautiful crib for your little one!

Here is a white and silver bed with touches indigo. Very nautical.

I just wanted to say 'Thank you' for all of those that stopped by to see us at each of the shows.
We had such an amazing time.
We hope you were as excited as we are about all the new colors and collections!

We brought in all sorts of shiny ornaments, little trees, and sparkly trinkets for a festive look. You should also expect to hear plenty of Christmas tunes throughout the store because Pom Pom loves Christmas music!
NOW we are ready for the hustle and bustle of holiday shopping!

Thanksgiving Table Settings

We here at Pom Pom have been counting down the days 'til Thanksgiving and through our excitement, we decided to come up with a couple of tablescapes that you could use for your Thanksgiving feast!
Below are two different looks that have their own distinct style. One is a very traditional setting that uses the classic Thanksgiving colors and the other is a very cool modern take.
Which one do you like?

This first idea uses traditional colors and tones with very natural fall touches. We wanted to use deep reds to pair with our Hampton cayenne place mats and Windsor napkins to create a very warm palette. The decorations consist of pine cones, pomegranates, leaves, and twigs with berries on them. You can be creative and use small branches, leaves, or even fruits like apples or pears! Sometimes it's nice using things you find around the home or in your garden and yard.

This next tablescape is a blend of cooler natural tones with flax, greys, creams, and browns. Sometimes it's fun to find a different color scheme. It features our Bistro napkins in natural and grey and Juliet placemats in taupe. We played with very soft subtle colors for a non-traditional Thanksgiving table. To add a touch of class to the table, we used pearls and hints of gold and silver in the decor. Very sophisticated, right?

We hope you enjoyed this post and were able to get some ideas for your own tablescape!
Pom Pom at Home wishes you a very Happy Thanksgiving full of food, laughter, and love.
Have the most amazing time!

Little Luxuries

"Little Luxuries" is going to be a series of posts where I share pictures of things that recently  inspired me or lovely things I happen to stumble upon during the week! This would give you a peak into things happening at 'Pom Pom at Home' or of things that spark my interest.

For this post in particular, I am featuring things from Pinterest that I love! I often find myself completely immersed in this website for hours. It's such a great tool to find inspiration in every aspect of life, especially when I am designing new products for 'Pom Pom at Home'! But even when I'm not designing, I just love looking at their beautiful pictures!

Please enjoy my picks for this week!

We are currently working on renovating our house and I wanted to have white marble tiles for the walls, just like in the picture. It is so elegant and refreshing. The large tiles really open up the space!

Black & white marble tile rug
This tile rug was also something I found to add to our bathroom renovations. There will be a future post on our bathroom and home renovations when they are complete. We are so excited to show you, so please stay tuned for it!

Coffee and pastries on a Paris balcony sounds perfect right now.
Last September, I was so fortunate to meet my family there to celebrate my mom's 90th birthday!!!
What a great time we had!

Santee! Cheers!
A glass of champagne with our Chateau champagne bucket
I will always find any excuse to enjoy a glass of bubbles.

..
Beautiful linen couches. I love the simplicity of this room.

Whenever I go home I make sure to get my beer and mussels!!
Mussels and frites! Yum.....
This definitely brings out the Belgian in me.

I hope you liked my first "Little Luxuries" post! Have a wonderful day!

Best,
Hilde

Halloween Party: Refreshments Table

It's only a couple days left before Halloween but don't worry, there's still time to work on last minute details and preparations for your costumes and parties.
One of the most important parts about throwing a great party are the food and refreshments. What's a Halloween party without the treats?! And remember to spruce up your table for a fun and festive atmosphere.
Here are some ideas we found that would be great for the refreshments table at your spooky soiree!

Our Hampton place mats in cayenne are the perfect shade for your snack table! Add in some shades of black and you'll have the quintessential colors for Halloween.

Chocolate cupcakes with frosting shaped as cute ghosts. How adorable is that?!

If you think black is too harsh, try a dark grey or slate color. Our Jules runner and napkins come in this lovely color with white stitching as a border and frayed edges for a more casual look.

Marshmallow and pretzels sticks dipped in white chocolate to look like bones.

Simple rustic caramel apples from Allyson Baker Design. Delicious and somewhat healthy!

If you want to add some elegance to your set up, display your Halloween treats and snacks on this two tier tray

Hope we were able to give you some helpful tips on setting up your Halloween snack table and impress your guests!

Have an amazing time and Happy Halloween!

Pom Pom Pumpkins

Halloween is only a little ways away and if you haven't started decorating yet, there's still some time! The most popular Halloween tradition is to carve pumpkins to place in front of your house. Now the question is, what to make?
We wanted to do something a little different and find ways to decorate pumpkins that are representative of Pom Pom's style. We were so excited to find these amazingly simple and creative ideas that resemble our very own items.
So here are some ways to "Pom-ify" your pumpkins!

Looking to classy up the joint for Thanksgiving? Gilded Fake Veggies are where it's at!
These cute mini gilded pumpkins remind us of our coated linen pillow! You can paint your pumpkin with gold or metallic paint to add a chic touch to your Halloween decor. We love this shiny metallic look!

Thanksgiving Holiday Craft: DIY Doily Pumpkins Decor -

If you love the romantic vintage look, glue pieces of lace onto your pumpkin for a quick and easy project (From Allyson Baker Design). We have a few items at Pom Pom that have a delicate lace or crochet detail. There is something so soft and feminine about lace that we adore.
The closeup above is of our Fleur lace shams.

SouthernScraps Happenings: Houndstooth Duct Tape Pumpkin

Our Draper pillows feature a mixed houndstooth print and we love the idea of making a houndstooth pumpkin out of printed tape (From Southern Scraps)! Such a simple and great way to introduce a fun pattern to your decor.

white ruffle pumpkin

Our Charlie shams have these full ruffles along the edges and we found these adorable ruffled pumpkins on Icing Designs and fell in love with it!

We hope you like these ideas and have fun "Pom-ifying" your pumpkins!
